DIRECTOR’S INTENT:

Arul, a very dear friend of mine, killed himself on the 1st of March 2009. As per his instructions in the letters that he left behind for his friends, on the very day, we went out to his favorite pub and got ourselves terribly and tearfully drunk.
The idea for this story came from a friend who mentioned that night that he hoped Arul didn’t have to queue too long in the waiting room.
The first draft of the script was written the morning after that.
It is important to note that in his letters, he made it clear that he did not do what he did due to any given (tangible) reason. In fact, in a way this has been the best and happiest he has been in years.
The script was written in an attempt on my part, to understand the meaninglessness of his death.
